About Us
The Greater Orlando Tennis Association (GOTA) has its roots in the Central Florida Tennis Confederation (CFTC) that began serving the Orlando Tennis community in the early 1980's.
GOTA is a member organization of the United States Tennis Association, the largest tennis organization in the US. GOTA is 501 c 3 tax-exempt.
GOTA's mission is:
"To Promote and Develop Tennis in the Greater Orlando Area"
GOTA is committed to taking a leadership role in establishing a single voice that will be heard at the various community forum for the Greater Orlando Tennis Community and it more than 15,000 constituents.
The long-term goals of this volunteer organization are to:
- Establish and maintain an influential presence at all community forums
- Create greater public awareness on the importance of tennis in the area
- Help bring about more tennis facilities to keep pace with the growth and Interest in tennis in our community; and
Promote the continued growth of tennis in the area.
To be successful, it is essential that GOTA secure the support of the tennis community and decision makers so that we are all working synergistically toward the same objectives enhancing the game of tennis in Greater Orlando.
